Defensive Driving Certification
All drivers of University vehicles (cars, trucks, vans, and golf carts) are required to have a current Defensive Driving certification from the Campus Safety office. The required courses are provided online through SafeColleges. The hands-on portion of the course is administered by Campus Safety staff by appointment.
Golf cart drivers do not need a driver's license, but must be certified through Campus Safety.
For all other vehicles, a valid and current US driver's license is required. International licenses and permits are not accepted. Campus Security drivers must be U.S. citizens.
University faculty/staff that have been with the university for more than two years do not need to complete the hands-on portion of the training.
Senior missionaries may come to the Campus Safety office by appointment to complete the courses.
